“Every missed notification, every misplaced client note, is a tiny crack in the foundation. We need to build stronger walls.”

Jaimini Nayar-Nambeesan, 37, is a co-founder of a bustling 6-person digital marketing agency based in Bengaluru. Her journey into entrepreneurship began after completing her MBA, where she identified a gap in personalized, responsive digital marketing services for growing businesses. She poured her savings and considerable energy into building the agency, which now serves a diverse clientele across various sectors. Her income of ₹18 lakh reflects her success and the agency's steady growth over the past eight years. Jaimini is deeply invested in her work, often found juggling multiple responsibilities, from client acquisition and strategy to team management and campaign oversight. Her current operational reality involves a fragmented system of tools: WhatsApp groups for rapid-fire team communication and client queries, Notion pages meticulously organized for proposals, client notes, and internal documentation, and Excel spreadsheets for tracking campaign budgets, performance metrics, and financial projections. This patchwork system, while functional, consumes valuable time and creates friction. She’s made recent decisions to invest in better project management software, but the integration and team adoption are proving challenging. Jaimini’s drive for growth is balanced by a strong commitment to her family, particularly her seven-year-old son. She values her independence and the autonomy her role provides, but also recognizes the need for efficiency to reclaim personal time. Her MBA education instilled a strategic mindset, while her experiences have honed her pragmatic approach to problem-solving and resource allocation. She’s acutely aware of the time constraints of running a business and is constantly seeking ways to optimize workflows without compromising client satisfaction or team morale. Her ambition is to see her agency not just survive, but thrive, becoming a recognized name in the industry while maintaining a sustainable pace of work.

Background & daily life

A day in their life

Jaimini's day begins around 6:30 AM with getting her son ready. By 8:30 AM, she's logged into her laptop, checking urgent emails and WhatsApp messages. The morning is packed with client calls and team check-ins, often reviewing campaign performance dashboards in Excel and updating Notion pages with client feedback. Lunch is usually a quick affair at her desk. The afternoon involves proposal writing, brainstorming new campaign ideas, and addressing any immediate client issues. She tries to wrap up by 7:00 PM to spend time with her family, but often checks her phone for critical updates before bed around 11:00 PM.

Lifestyle

Jaimini balances a demanding professional life with family commitments. She lives in a comfortable apartment in Indiranagar with her husband, a software engineer, and their young son. Mornings are a rush of getting her son ready for school and herself for work, often grabbing a quick idli or dosa. Evenings are dedicated to family time, helping with homework, and preparing dinner. Weekends might involve a family outing to a park or a visit to a new restaurant exploring regional cuisines. She’s mindful of her finances, reinvesting profits into the agency while ensuring family needs are met. Travel is a cherished luxury, usually planned around school holidays.

Work life

As a co-founder, Jaimini is deeply involved in client delivery, ensuring campaigns run smoothly and clients are satisfied. Her days are a whirlwind of client calls, strategy sessions with her small team, reviewing campaign performance data, and drafting proposals. The current challenge is maintaining seamless communication and task tracking across disparate tools – WhatsApp for quick chats, Notion for project briefs and client notes, and Excel for budget tracking and performance metrics. She’s constantly juggling urgent client requests with internal team coordination, striving for responsiveness without sacrificing quality.

Relationships

Jaimini's primary support system is her husband, who understands the demands of entrepreneurship. Her parents, retired teachers, offer emotional support and occasional help with their son. Within the agency, she fosters a collaborative environment, relying on her business partner for strategic vision and her team for execution. She maintains a professional network through LinkedIn and industry events, valuing connections that offer insights and potential collaborations.

How they decide

Jaimini is a pragmatic decision-maker, leaning towards solutions that offer clear benefits and efficiency gains. She researches options thoroughly, often seeking input from her business partner and trusted industry contacts. While budget-conscious, she prioritizes tools that demonstrably improve workflow and client satisfaction, especially if they can consolidate fragmented processes. She’s not afraid to adopt new technologies if the value proposition is strong and the implementation seems manageable.

How they sound

Questions & answers

Jaimini Nayar-Nambeesan’s public research answers, newest questions first. Up to 10 per page.

  1. Looking at Tixio Lite (https://tixio.io/tixio-lite/): what price would make it a no-brainer for you, and at what price would you stop considering it? What would you expect to get for that money? Also say the maximum you would pay per month in USD (0 if nothing).

This Tixio Lite looks interesting, especially the promise of native apps for iOS and Android keeping everything in sync. That could really help consolidate my workflow, which is currently spread across WhatsApp, Notion, and Excel. For it to be a no-brainer, I'd expect a unified dashboard where I can see all my projects and team communication at a glance. If it could truly integrate these disparate tools and offer real-time updates, I'd consider paying around $30 to $40 per month. Anything above $50 per month, especially if it doesn't clearly solve my information silo problem, and I'd stop considering it.
