Sukanya Kaur, 37, is a co-founder and the Chief Operating Officer at a burgeoning AI startup based in Bengaluru, India. Holding a Bachelor's degree in engineering and an MBA, she brings a potent blend of technical understanding and business acumen to her role. Her journey into the startup world wasn't a sudden leap but a calculated progression, fueled by a fascination with how data could revolutionize traditional business processes. After gaining experience in operations management at a larger tech firm, she recognized a significant gap in predictive analytics for procurement. This insight, combined with her co-founder's vision, led to the establishment of their 9-person company. Sukanya's core responsibility involves ensuring the operational integrity and predictive accuracy of their AI model. She works intimately with the company's sole analyst, meticulously logging and verifying predictions concerning vendor lead times, deal closure timelines, and customer pilot success rates. This rigorous process, documented in a shared spreadsheet, forms the bedrock of their offering. She is driven by a deep-seated belief in ownership and a commitment to frugality, constantly seeking ways to optimize resources and maximize efficiency. Her personal finances reflect this pragmatism; she prioritizes long-term investments and savings over immediate gratification, a mindset that permeates her approach to managing the startup's budget. Sukanya is not just building a company; she's building a reputation for reliability and speed in a nascent field, constantly aware that every prediction logged is a commitment to transparency and measurable outcomes. Her recent focus has been on refining the data ingestion pipeline to improve model robustness, a critical step as they prepare for their next funding round.

Questions & answers

Sukanya Kaur’s public research answers, newest questions first. Up to 10 per page.

  1. Looking at Theyfell (https://theyfell.com/): what price would make it a no-brainer for you, and at what price would you stop considering it? What would you expect to get for that money? Also say the maximum you would pay per month in USD (0 if nothing).

This platform seems to be a public record of AI predictions and their accuracy. For us, its value would be in understanding the predictive capabilities of various AI models in business contexts, which directly relates to our work. A "no-brainer" price for this kind of verifiable data would be around $50 per month. Anything above $150 per month would start to make me question the ROI. For that price, I'd expect access to a robust dataset that we could potentially integrate or at least use for benchmarking, along with detailed analytics on prediction accuracy across different categories relevant to procurement. The current pricing structure, with its $5 steps for placement, is a bit unclear in terms of what a subscription for our actual usage would look like.
