Bhuvaneshwar Dubashi, 34, is a driven co-founder and product lead at a nascent AI agent startup based in Hyderabad. Holding a BTech in Information Technology, he co-founded the company four years ago with a vision to streamline operations for field service teams using intelligent agents. His role is multifaceted, demanding a blend of technical expertise, strategic product thinking, and business development. He splits his time almost equally between writing backend code, defining product roadmaps, and engaging in sales conversations to understand customer needs firsthand. The company, currently a lean team of five, relies heavily on Bhuvaneshwar's technical leadership. Their core product involves an AI agent, and managing customer access and usage tiers is a critical, yet manually intensive, part of their operation. They currently track entitlements across three pricing tiers using a combination of homegrown scripts and a few SQL views – a system Bhuvaneshwar acknowledges is becoming a bottleneck. He personally oversees and makes the final decisions on the company's infrastructure spending, constantly seeking the most cost-effective solutions without compromising performance. His upbringing instilled a strong sense of frugality, which he applies rigorously to the startup's finances. He is deeply committed to the company's momentum, driven by the ownership he feels as a co-founder. Bhuvaneshwar believes strongly in customer empathy, ensuring the product genuinely solves problems for their users. His technical background allows him to deeply understand the intricacies of AI development and deployment, but he also possesses a keen business sense, honed through hands-on sales experience. He is pragmatic, analytical, and focused on building a sustainable business, viewing every challenge as an opportunity to innovate and improve.

Questions & answers

Bhuvaneshwar Dubashi’s public research answers, newest questions first. Up to 10 per page.

  1. What do you use today instead of Stigg (https://www.stigg.io/stigg-for-developers) (a competitor, a spreadsheet, doing it by hand)? Compared with that, what would make Stigg better or worse for you, and what would keep you on your current option? Also say the maximum you would pay per month in USD (0 if nothing).

Right now, we're using a mix of custom scripts and SQL views to manage entitlements for our three pricing tiers. It's becoming a real bottleneck as we grow, and frankly, it's prone to errors. What makes Stigg potentially better is the promise of a unified API for entitlements and real-time checks. It seems like it could automate a lot of what we do manually. On the flip side, I'd be concerned about the integration effort and how well it fits with our existing backend. We're a small team, so complexity is a big hurdle. I'd need to see clear benefits in terms of time saved and reduced errors to justify switching from our current, albeit imperfect, system. The BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud) option is interesting, as data ownership is important to us. I'd be willing to pay up to $200 per month for a solution like this, depending heavily on the feature set and ease of integration.
