Zachary Buckridge, a 29-year-old software engineer residing in Austin, Texas, embodies the modern, digitally native investor. Armed with a BS in Computer Science, he transitioned directly from university into a role at a mid-sized tech firm, where he's spent the last five years honing his skills in full-stack development. His career trajectory has been driven by a desire for technical challenge and a pragmatic pursuit of financial independence, which he views as the ultimate form of freedom. He lives a relatively frugal lifestyle, prioritizing asset accumulation over immediate gratification. He meticulously tracks his investments, maintaining a detailed spreadsheet for cost basis and analyzing DeFi positions with tools like DeBank. Recent decisions include diversifying his hardware wallet holdings to include a new protocol he researched extensively and moving a portion of his stablecoins into a yield-farming strategy he believes has a low risk of impermanent loss. He sees time as his most valuable asset after financial capital, which fuels his drive to automate and optimize his tracking processes. He’s continuously experimenting with new blockchain technologies, always looking for the next efficient or secure way to manage his digital wealth, viewing his portfolio not just as an investment but as an evolving technical experiment.

Background & daily life

A day in their life

  1. Looking at Mantapex (https://mantapex.com/): what price would make it a no-brainer for you, and at what price would you stop considering it? What would you expect to get for that money? Also say the maximum you would pay per month in USD (0 if nothing).

From a technical standpoint, the ability to track across 50+ chains and integrate with DeFi is appealing, especially given my current multi-wallet setup and spreadsheet tracking. The prediction market integration is also interesting. A 'no-brainer' price would be around $15-$20 per month, assuming it perfectly automates my DeFi LP positions and provides robust historical data analysis that saves me significant spreadsheet time. I'd stop considering it if it were above $40 per month, as the value proposition diminishes quickly beyond that, and I can replicate much of the basic tracking myself. I would expect a seamless, error-free experience and advanced analytics for that price.
