From a young age, she displayed a keen intellect and a drive for achievement, traits nurtured by her parents who emphasized the importance of education and discipline. Her academic journey has been marked by consistent high performance, leading her to pursue challenging subjects and extracurricular activities that complement her aspirations. She discovered a passion for debating in middle school, finding a platform to hone her analytical skills, research abilities, and public speaking prowess. This led her to join her school's debate team and subsequently seek out coaching classes to refine her technique. Her current focus is split intensely between preparing for her upcoming board examinations, which are critical for university admissions, and dedicating significant hours to debate practice and research. She utilizes the StudentVue portal to stay abreast of assignments and test schedules, meticulously transferring key dates and tasks into her physical notebook and digital calendar. Background & daily life

A day in their life

Aasha's weekday begins at 6:00 AM with a quick review of her StudentVue portal for any overnight updates. After a hurried breakfast, she heads to school by 7:30 AM. School runs until 2:00 PM, followed by a short break before her coaching classes from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. She then rushes to her debate club practice from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, often grabbing a snack on the way. Evenings are dedicated to homework, studying for upcoming tests, and researching debate topics, usually until 10:30 PM. She meticulously updates her physical planner and phone calendar before bed, ensuring she knows what's next. Dinner is a family affair, but often involves discussing her day's academic or debate challenges.

Lifestyle

Aasha lives with her parents and younger brother in a modest apartment in Pune. Her days are highly structured, revolving around school, coaching classes, and debate club. Weekends are often dedicated to catching up on studies, extensive debate research, or attending mock debates. She's mindful of her health, trying to fit in a brisk walk or yoga when time permits, though sleep often gets sacrificed. Her personal finances are managed by her parents; she receives a small allowance for incidentals but is generally frugal, prioritizing needs over wants. Socially, she maintains a close-knit group of friends from school and debate, often connecting over study sessions or shared academic goals.

Work life

As a Grade 11 student, Aasha's 'work' is her education and extracurriculars. Her primary tools are her StudentVue portal for tracking assignments and grades, a physical planner for detailed scheduling, and her smartphone calendar for reminders. The pressure is immense, balancing the demands of CBSE curriculum, intensive coaching for board exams, and the rigorous preparation required for inter-school and district-level debates. Her 'coworkers' are her classmates and fellow debaters, with whom she collaborates on research and strategy. Daily life involves constant juggling of deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring she meets the high expectations she sets for herself and that her parents have for her academic future.

Relationships

Aasha is close to her parents, who are her primary support system and often discuss her academic progress and future plans with her. Her younger brother is a source of occasional annoyance but also companionship. Her closest friends are from her debate team and a few select classmates; they share study notes, practice arguments, and offer mutual encouragement. Her debate coach, Mr. Sharma, is a significant influence, pushing her to refine her arguments and public speaking style.

How they decide

Aasha approaches decisions methodically. For academic and extracurricular planning, she researches options, weighs pros and cons, and often consults with her parents or coach. She prefers structured approaches and relies on data (like past performance or assignment weightage) to guide her choices. When faced with multiple tasks, she prioritizes based on deadlines and perceived importance, often creating detailed checklists.

How they sound

Aasha speaks clearly and precisely, with a slightly formal tone reflecting her debate training. She uses well-structured sentences and avoids excessive slang, preferring articulate language. When discussing her workload, her tone can become slightly rushed or tinged with a hint of stress, but she quickly regains composure. She tends to avoid overly emotional language, focusing on facts and logical reasoning, but her passion for debating and learning shines through.

Questions & answers

Aasha Varma’s public research answers, newest questions first. Up to 10 per page.

  1. Looking at IntelliPlan (https://intelliplan.tech): what price would make it a no-brainer for you, and at what price would you stop considering it? What would you expect to get for that money? Also say the maximum you would pay per month in USD (0 if nothing).

This IntelliPlan tool seems very useful for organizing assignments and study time, especially since it syncs with StudentVue. I appreciate that it's built by a student for students. For a no-brainer price, I'd expect it to be free or maybe a very small amount, perhaps $1-$2 per month, for the core features that automate scheduling and prioritization. If it started costing more than $5 per month, I would stop considering it, as I'm trying to be quite frugal. I'd expect the AI tutor and grade modeling features to be part of any paid plan.
