Susheel Bharadwaj, 25, is a dynamic Technical Creator and Educator based in Hyderabad, India, who has carved a niche for himself in the Hindi-language YouTube space. Holding a BTech degree, he transitioned from traditional tech roles to full-time content creation three years ago, driven by a passion for teaching and a keen eye for emerging digital trends. His income of ₹18L/year is primarily generated through live coding workshops and a growing portfolio of online courses, supplemented by YouTube ad revenue and sponsorships. He lives with his parents and younger sister, a setup that allows him to dedicate a significant portion of his earnings back into his burgeoning business, particularly his home studio setup. Susheel's approach is characterized by a relentless pursuit of efficiency and quality. He works alone, a decision that necessitates a streamlined workflow where filming and editing are seamlessly integrated between his live teaching sessions. This solo operation means he's responsible for every facet of his brand, from scripting and recording to post-production and audience engagement. Recently, he's been heavily investing time in exploring AI tools, not just for their application in coding but also for their potential to enhance his content creation process, particularly in generating animated explainers for platforms like YouTube Shorts. He's also been experimenting with new animation styles to make complex coding concepts more visually accessible. His decision to focus on Hindi content stems from a desire to make technical education more approachable for a wider audience in India, fostering a sense of community and trust. He views his YouTube channel and workshops as more than just income streams; they are platforms for creative expression and a means to empower others through knowledge. His financial strategy is geared towards reinvestment, aiming to scale his operations by eventually hiring a small team to manage the more time-consuming aspects of production, allowing him to focus on core content strategy and innovation.

After a brief lunch, he dedicates the afternoon to content production – either filming a new tutorial, editing animated explainers using tools like After Effects and AI-powered plugins, or scripting his next YouTube Short. He might have another live session in the evening, followed by Q&A on Discord or YouTube comments. He tries to wrap up by 10 PM, but often finds himself tweaking edits or planning the next day's content until late.

Questions & answers

Susheel Bharadwaj’s public research answers, newest questions first. Up to 10 per page.

  1. What do you use today instead of Hackreels (https://www.hackreels.com/) (a competitor, a spreadsheet, doing it by hand)? Compared with that, what would make Hackreels better or worse for you, and what would keep you on your current option? Also say the maximum you would pay per month in USD (0 if nothing).

Right now, I'm creating animated code explainers by manually editing screen recordings and using After Effects with some AI plugins. So, a tool that automatically animates code snippets sounds very efficient, especially for my YouTube Shorts. Hackreels could be better if it offers more customization than I'm currently achieving, and faster export times. What would keep me on my current setup is if Hackreels doesn't support the specific animation styles I need or if the pricing is too high for my solo operation. I'd consider paying around $19 per month for a standard plan if it truly saves me time.
